Terms of Service

This agreement is between you, the customer, and Phototropic Designs LLC, called "the studio" here.

Included with every website

• Up to 5 pages. Privacy Policy and other legal documents don’t count toward the 5.
• Text written from your answers to a short emailed questionnaire.
• Your own pictures are encouraged. If you have none, images are provided at no extra cost.
• A free round of edits comes at launch, separate from your monthly changes.
• Turnaround runs 2–6 business days from receipt of the completed questionnaire and photos.

Not included: Google Business Profile setup, anything beyond the 5-page limit, and large amounts of new writing later on. These are quoted on request.

Buy Outright

$500 one time, paid up front, with the site yours from the start. The $50/month plan begins at launch. Canceling before going live brings a $400 refund.

Rent to Own

$100 a month for 7 months ($700 toward the website), collected by secure autopay, with the first charge at sign-up. Ownership transfers after the seventh installment. The $50 plan is separate.

Paying off early: allowed at any time, with no penalty. The remainder ($100 for each remaining charge) is settled, ownership transfers immediately, and service continues on maintenance only.

Stopping before the seventh installment: a $150 cancellation fee applies. Ownership comes only once the balance is cleared; if canceled instead, the site comes down and the studio keeps the files.

If you stop before launch, the first charge is kept and covers that fee. Nothing else is owed.

Ongoing maintenance and support

This applies to both packages, for as long as we run the website. It is an ongoing subscription with no end date, ending only when canceled. It begins when the site goes live and is charged monthly by autopay. It covers:

• Hosting and keeping everything working and up to date.
• The yearly registration fee for your web address, if we registered it. Standard names like .com are included; premium names are billed at cost.
• Up to 3 changes monthly, each finished within 2 business days. A change is one small edit of about 30 minutes, like updating the hours, swapping a photo, or editing text. Whatever goes unused doesn’t roll over.

Bigger work is quoted on request. Cancel any time with 30 days’ notice; service runs to the end of the current period, with no partial-period refunds. After cancellation, running and maintaining stop; if the balance is already cleared, you keep the files and can move them elsewhere.

Late payment: a 7-day grace period, then access is paused while the amount is outstanding. Price adjustments require a 30-day written notice.

Domains

Option A: you register, own, and pay for the domain. Option B: we register and manage the domain, and the subscription pays the yearly cost. If the subscription ends, it is transferred to you.

Billing and content

Payments are processed by Stripe, a secure and trusted platform, through autopay or the checkout buttons. You are responsible for having the rights to any images, logos, or text supplied.
